Google released on September 15 new results from its AI & Economy ATLAS project, conducted with Google DeepMind and MIT FutureTech. According to the company, the work combines an analysis of 2,600 specialized AI models and a survey of more than 600 scientists in the U.S. and UK.\n\nNearly half of the surveyed scientists say they use a form of AI every day. Language models and specialized models do not fulfill the same role: the first are employed in various disciplines and tasks, while the latter are more used in health, life sciences, prediction and simulation.\nThe respondents report earning seven hours a week.
