NASA validated on 9 September 2026 the addition of the Relativity Space Terran R launcher to the NASA Launch Services II contract. This decision makes the launcher service eligible for future missions commissioned by the agency. This is an entry into a multi-supplier contract, not the assignment of a specific launcher. The announcement does not specify any useful load, no flight date for NASA, and no order amount associated with Terran R. The NLS II integration mechanism allows new suppliers to become candidates each year, and already selected companies to add vehicles. The short order period until June 2030 and the global execution period until December 2032. These contracts can serve NASA’s major directions dedicated to volume, science and technology. The agency can also provide services to the AA as it is in the launch.
